Bringsome
It's always those little things spotted in a foreign country that I wish I'd grabbed more of to bring back home, like $2 cartoon-print chopsticks from Tokyo, a $3 sack of paprika from Budapest, or $1 bottles of local lavender oil from Zagreb. I may not revisit those places, but I could ask for someone going there to snag some stuff for me. If you're my friend, however, that could interfere with your carefree vacation. Why not ask a stranger instead?
Bringsome is built just for that. Travelers on the site offer to bring back goodies from abroad, while homebound folks describe the goods they'd like. Although global commerce and the Internet seemingly enable you to get anything from anywhere, many local items still can't easily be ordered.
The next time you're in Europe, for instance, please bring me a pile of Niederegger marzipan in kooky fruit and farm animal shapes. The next time I travel, I guess I could pack something only found in San Francisco, like some original 1960s rock posters, or some quirky paintings by local artists. I could deliver an iPhone to the Bringsome user who wants one in Copenhagen, but could he use it there?

Save Quicktime Movies from Apple Trailers
I’m going to explain the method using an example. I’m really looking forward to seeing the movie 300 which will come out in march. A new trailer for that movie was released a few days ago and I want to download it to my computer to be able to watch it again without re-downloading it. The first step would be to visit the apple movie trailers website.
Click on the link to the movie 300. The main page of the movie shows up where you can select the resolution of the trailer that you want to view. Right-click and select view page source. Find either 480, 720 or 1080. Skip the first and copy the second url that you find.

John McLaughlin, founder of Uniquephones, has revealed that all of the company's software engineers are working around the clock to bypass iPhone restrictions that tie it to America's AT&T provider. The company said it is almost ready to release a beta of the unlocking software and claims the pre-release technology is already able to unlock 75% of all the iPhones it has tried using a code generated by the unit's IEMI number.
The resulting software will be sold by the company for about £50, far more than unlocking fees for other mobile handsets. Some days ago, Jon Lech Johansen (DVD Jon), the Norwegian hacker that is credited for the creation of DeCSS, found a way to unlock the multimedia and wifi capabilities of the phone without signing up to AT&T's service, just days after the iPhone release.
The U.S. Copyright Office confirmed last year that consumers are allowed to unlock their phones in order to use them with other carriers, although it is likely that AT&T and Apple will contest that decision if/when it comes down to it. Uniquephones said it's received more than 150,000 inquiries about unlocking iPhones and has even received a large number of IMEI codes already from owners.

Activation via Jon Lech Johansen’s PAS (Phone Activation Server)
This method works by spoofing Apple's activation server. Details here. Instructions step by step:
1). Download UltraEdit-32, install it.
2). Download PhoneActivationServerV1.0, extract it to desktop or anywhere you want.
3). You might wanna backup the original iTunes.exe(located under C:\Program Files\iTunes) first.
4). Run UltraEdit-32, open file iTunes.exe, use Ctrl+G to go to address 2048912, then enter 33C0C3. Do the same for the rest two offsets: Go to address 257074 then enter 28 and go to 257013 then enter 33C9B1. Save the file and close UltraEdit-32.
5). Open Windows explorer and go to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc. Open the "hosts" file in ULTRAEDIT and add the line 127.0.0.1 albert.apple.comto it. This will redirect any DNS query of "albert.apple.com" to your local host. Save & exit.
6). All you need to do is to run Phone Activation Server V1.0 first, leave it running and then run iTunes. Now when you plug in your iphone it will activate automatically in about 60 seconds.
