Begin / einde van een track afknippen
Soms heb je muziek bestanden in je iTunes bilbiotheek staan die beginnen of eindigen met een stuk leegte of een intro/outro die je niet wilt horen. Je kan dan met een muziek programma het begin en eind er af knippen, maar dat kan ook met iTunes zelf.
- Voeg het audiobestand toe aan je iTunes library
- Selecteer het bestand en kies "Toon info" met APPEL-i.
- Ga naar het tabblad "Info".
- Onderaan staan twee opties voor begintijd en eindtijd. Als je daar iets invult zal iTunes het nummer afspelen van begintijd tot eindtijd, en de rest weglaten.
iTunes speelt nu wel de intro/outro niet meer, maar deze stukken zitten nog wel aan het bestand. Je bestand is dus nog niet kleiner geworden. Als je de stukken echt van het bestand wilt afknippen:
- Selecteer het bestand
- Kies "Converteer selectie naar MP3" in het menu "geavanceerd".
Het bestand wordt nu als MP3 aangemaakt, exclusief de stukken die je niet wilt afspelen. Gooi het oorspronkelijke bestand nu weg en je houdt alleen het ingekorte bestand over.

1. Click the Microsoft Vista Start logo in the bottom left corner of the screen

3. Click Accessories
4. RIGHT-click on Command Prompt
5. Select Run As Administrator
6. In the command window type the following and then hit enter: ipconfig /flushdns
7. You will see the following confirmation:

Moving your iTunes Music folder
If your hard drive is nearly full after loading all your music into iTunes, or if you just want to move all those music files to another hard drive on your system, here's a way to make the move while retaining all your playlists, ratings, and play history.
First make sure that the "Keep iTunes Music folder organized" option is checked in iTunes Preferences:
1. Mac users: From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
Windows users: On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
2. In the resulting dialog, click the Advanced button and then click the General tab.
3. Select the "Keep iTunes Music folder organized" checkbox.
4. Click OK.
Once you've done that, follow the next set of steps to change your iTunes Music library location to the new drive and then consolidate your library to the new location. This not only copies your audio files over, it also retains your ratings and playlists. Note: If you move your music library to an external hard drive, you will need to have that drive connected to access your files. No matter what, it's always a good idea to have a backup of the media you have in iTunes.
1. Open iTunes.
2. From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences (In Windows, from the Edit menu, choose Preferences).
3. Click the Advanced button in the Preferences window and then click the General tab.
4. Click the Change button in the Advanced pane.
5. In the Change Music Folder Location window that appears, navigate to the location where you would like your new Music folder to be created. Note: By default, your iTunes Music folder is a folder named "iTunes Music" in ~/Music/iTunes/ where the tilde "~" represents your home directory. In Windows, the default location is:
\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
6. Click the New Folder button in the Change Music Folder Location window.
7. In the New Folder window that appears, enter the name of the new iTunes Music folder.
8. Click Create.
9. Click Choose in the Change Music Folder Location window.
10. Click OK in the Advanced window.
11. From the Advanced menu, choose Consolidate Library. A message appears that says: "Consolidating your library will copy all of your music into the iTunes Music folder. This cannot be undone."
12. Click Consolidate. Important: This action copies all of your music files to the new location. There must be enough hard disk space available to copy all of your music files.13. After the folder has been copied, locate your original iTunes Music folder, and drag it to the Trash or Recycle Bin. Note: Don't remove the iTunes library files that may be in the same location as the iTunes Music folder.
14. Empty the Trash or Recycle Bin.

Torpark is a modification of the Portable Firefox browser that runs through the Tor (The Onion Router) network to establish an anonymous connection between you and the web site you are visiting. While the information passing from your PC in the Tor network will be encrypted, it is important to note that any data passing from the Tor network to a web site is not encrypted. You should not use usernames or passwords on sites that are not providing a secure session and login.In order to provide anonymity, there are compromises, namely decreased network speed and a limited browsing experience. The decrease in speed is due to Tor’s routing your TCP traffic through the Tor servers before taking it to its destination. As for the browsing experience, TorPark by default has JavaScript deactivated and no multimedia plugins. This is because both JavaScript and plugins like Flash send data back to the remote server, possible compromising your anonymity.
Installation is a breeze, simply download the compressed executable, unpack it and move the contents to the location you wish to run it from (like your USB drive). From that location, run Torpark.exe.

Swapfile
De swapfile Als het fysieke geheugen volledig in gebruik is en windows moet dan nog meer gegevens in het geheugen laden dan wordt je harde schijf gebruikt als aanvulling op het fysieke geheugen... het 'virtuele geheugen' Het stukje harde schijf dat dan gebruikt wordt als geheugen ('virtueel geheugen') heet Win386.swp... en in NT,XP en 2000... pagefile.sys... de swapfile. Voortdurend wordt deze swapfile door windows gebruikt en is dus erg belangrijk voor de snelheid van je systeem. Standaard wisseld deze steeds van grootte naar gelang de behoefte aan geheugen. Aan het voortdurend bepalen van de behoefte aan swapfile is windows tijd kwijt, maar erger is nog dat deze swapfile hierdoor heel erg gefragmenteerd is. We willen een swapfile die niet steeds van grootte veranderd en nooit gefragmenteerd wordt. Rechtsklik op Deze computer > Eigenschappen > Prestaties > Virtueel geheugen, vink hier virtueel geheugen uitschakelen aan. Bij windows NT zet je het minimum en het maximum op 0. Je krijgt een waarschuwing maar gaat toch door. Na rebooten/opnieuw opstarten heb je geen swapfile meer, ga nu alle partities defragmenteren. Het mooist is als je een aparte partitie hebt voor die swapfile, die dus niet groter hoeft te zijn dan die swapfile. Maar anders zet je 'm tenminste op een andere partitie dan de C, dan krijg je vaak minder problemen als je pc eens crashed. Als je meerdere harde schijven hebt zet je 'm op de tweede harde schijf. Die aparte partitie hoeft zelden groter te zijn dan 512 MB dus levert FAT32 geen extra diskruimte op en FAT16 wordt sneller aangesproken, dus gebruiken we FAT16 Als regel wordt 2,5 keer het fysieke geheugen als minimum grootte van de swapfile genoemd, dus met 64 MB geheugen wordt de swapfile 2,5 keer 64 is 160 MB. Heb je zat diskruimte neem dan gerust een grotere swapfile. Je weet nu waar je de swapfile wilt hebben en hoe groot je hem wilt hebben. Rightklik op Deze computer > Eigenschappen > Prestaties > Virtueel geheugen > Instellingen voor het virtuele geheugen opgeven. Zet nu het minimum en het maximum allebei op minstens 2,5 keer het geheugen wat je hebt. Weer krijg je waarschuwingen, waar jij je niets van aantrekt, en je moet opnieuw opstarten. Zodoende fragmenteerd je geheugen nooit en er blijft nooit te weinig ruimte over voor die swapfile.

Voor het converteren van zowel video als audio bestanden heb je maar één programma nodig. Deze heeft de zeer passende naam Super.
Met Super kun je vrijwel alles omzetten van het ene media-formaat naar het andere. Dit gaat in hoge snelheid, zonder ook maar één beperking. Je kunt converteren van het ene pc-formaat naar het ander, bijvoorbeeld van mp3 naar mp4 of ogg, maar de mogelijkheden gaan veel verder. Zo kun je bijvoorbeeld een videofilmpje van een telefoon, iPod, Playstation of pocketPC converteren naar een pc (of andersom), van een mp3 een ringtone maken, of een animated gif maken van een filmpje. Als het maar een conversie is kan het!

Windows ReadyBoost is a great technology, caching things on USB drives to improve system performance, but Windows Vista insists on checking the drives for certain speed requirements before enabling the feature. If you have a USB drive that is just a hair to slow to beat the test, or you want to use an external hard drive (slower speed, loads of cache space), how you can force Vista to let you use ReadyBoost on an unsupported device, whether it wants to or not:
• 1. Plug in the device.
• 2. Open the Readyboost tab on the device properties.
• 3. Select “Do not retest this device”
• 4. Unplug the device
• 5. Open regedit (start->run->regedit)
• 6. Expand - HKLM (Local Machine)SOFTWARE-Microsoft-Windows CurrentVersion-EMDgmt
• 7. Find your device.
• 8. Change Device Status to 2
